In addition to major processor related enhancements, this robust software delivery includes support for building Linux/390 and z/Linux executables. Important features of this delivery include:

• Support for Linux/390 and z/Linux (ELF) objects, using ASM source that is as unchanged as possible. Provides full debugging support including line number and DSECT member offset information.
  

• Added mnemonics for branch relative, jump and other undocumented instructions.
  

• The "System Name" and &SYSID variable are improved to include the operating system type and relase for cross-platform hosts.
  

• New "Diagnostic Cross Reference and Assembler Summary" listing section

• Improved CICS preprocessor support in the DCCPA program.
  

• New -mcase option for macro parameter case management.
  

• Support for new z990 instructions and the Y-type instruction format.
